Happy Father's Day!

“Life doesn’t come with an instruction book — that’s why we have fathers.”
-H. Jackson Browne , author

Fathers often pass on wise words to their children – words that offer encouragement, support, and how to be an overall good person.

This Father’s Day, we honor the special dads in our lives.

American Legion Auxiliary National Headquarters recently asked our Facebook followers to tell us about Dad. Here is what some ALA members had to say:

“Now, later in life, I am appreciative of my Father's service within The American Legion. He is a 50-year life member of Steelton American Legion Post 420 in Pennsylvania and is the current post commander. I'm honored as the president of Auxiliary Unit 420 to work closely with him and share our efforts for veterans and the community.”
Lisa Iskric

“My Daddy was always faithful, Semper Fidelis. Family was sacred, not perfect. He taught me that I could do anything if I was willing to invest my all in. He is with me always. Daddy’s girl.
Karen Runk

“My Dad served in the Korean War. He was also commander of The American Legion Harry N. Cutting Post 59 in Waterbury, Vt. My dad helped out a lot of people in the community.”
Wanda Woodard

“My Dad was a WWII veteran.”
