Remember your ‘why’ as an ALA member — renew today

Posted On: Wednesday, 01 February 2023

At the start of the 2022-2023 American Legion Auxiliary administrative year, National President Vickie Koutz said, “I want to see our members remember why they joined in the first place — to help our veterans, military, and their families.”

Remember your why by renewing your ALA membership. Whether you joined to honor a family member’s military service or that of your own, it is important every year to pay membership dues and say yes to the Auxiliary’s mission. Renewing allows the ALA to continue being a strong community of volunteers serving veterans, military, and their families.

Your dues truly make a difference! Collectively from all our thousands of members, dues add up to make a large impact on the Auxiliary’s mission outreach and advocacy efforts to serve our nation’s 16.5 million veterans.

Today, the second membership renewal notice goes out because we still have members who haven’t renewed for the upcoming membership year.

As one of the nation’s most prominent supporters of veterans, military, and their families, your dues help in a variety of ways. Here are just a few examples:

  • 3.2 million hours volunteered in serving veterans and military
  • Nearly $7 million raised and spent on youth, scholarships, and communities
  • $1 million in scholarships awarded
  • And much, much more
Please continue to answer the call of Service Not Self as you give back to America’s finest — our military — through being a part of one of nearly 8,000 Auxiliary units in local communities in the U.S. and foreign countries.

We would love for you to continue to play a vital role in our mission outreach efforts!

Renew right here!
Pay online via the national website or pay by phone by calling ALA National Headquarters at (317) 569-4570 with your member ID ready. The hours to call are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST. You will speak with a real person who will assist you in paying your dues. If you would like to pay multiple members’ dues at the same time, please call us, as this is the easiest way to accomplish this task. You can also mail your dues payment to your unit by using the renewal notice you receive in the mail and sending a check to your local unit. Make checks payable to American Legion Auxiliary.
