Public service announcements available to help promote America 250 Challenge

Four public service announcements on The American Legion’s YouTube channel feature Auxiliary National President Pam Ray, Legion National Commander Dan Wiley, and Sons of The American Legion National Commander Bill Clancy promoting the USA 250 Challenge and sharing how they are participating. 

 

The PSAs available:

• USA 250 Challenge promotion. This PSA features all three leaders explaining what the challenge is and how to join. 

• Mental wellness. Wiley shares how mental wellness can be involvement in the Legion’s Be the One suicide prevention mission, making Buddy Check phone calls, or personal visits to check on the needs of veterans. 

 Physical exercise. Clancy reminds participants that anything fitness related counts, such as walking your dog, chair yoga, running, or pickle ball. 

• Community service. Ray gives examples of how to achieve 250 hours of community service through the serving of 250 meals to homeless veterans, sending 250 care packages to deployed troops, or making 250 quilts for veterans.
